KDS invites Business Travel Show attendees to speak out: “Open Booking or Door to Door”

February 17, 2015

Business Travel Show, LONDON – February 17th 2015 – What’s the future of corporate travel? Is it ‘open booking’ or ‘door to door?’ Argue your view with KDS on stand 840, take away a new white paper and experience for yourself the power of KDS NEO: one of the most significant innovations in travel booking in years.

KDS, the European Travel and Expense (T&E) Management solutions provider, today confirmed its presence at the Business Travel Show taking place 25th and 26th February at Olympia, London.

It has to be said that managed travel is in trouble. A large part of the problem is that corporate online booking tools just haven’t kept pace with consumer apps and websites.

“Two very different solutions are emerging,” argues Oliver Quayle, senior vice president at KDS. “Open booking, which means travellers don’t have to use corporate online booking tools any more – or switching to a better kind of online booking tool that uses door-to-door planning.”
At the event attendees are invited to visit KDS and meet with Quayle and team to:

  • Discuss: “Open Booking or Door to Door” – which do you think is the future of corporate travel management? Argue your view (or listen to ours) and receive a copy of the KDS white paper on this hot topic.
  • Experience: KDS Neo – possibly the most significant innovation in travel booking in the last ten years. It’s a giant step toward a world where travel booking is so simple that it isn’t even considered to be a significant activity by the travellers themselves.

Oliver Quayle will also participate in a pre-show conference programme discussion on 24th February titled: ‘Have we moved from managing suppliers to managing travellers?’ The session looks at where control of corporate booking resides in organisations; Procurement, HR or Finance for example. It reviews how aspects such as cost and risk mitigation will influence future policy, as well as the merits of shifting away from dictating travel policies to positively influencing personnel towards a preferred corporate approach.
